CIPP Field Instructor

Scope

  • Provide technical support and training to Perma-Liner field installers and customer base
  • Customer base services municipalities and individual contractors that deal with cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lateral renewal technology
  • Member of the Research and Development efforts in developing improved materials and training methods for installation and use

Position Function

  • Maintain schedules and priorities to meet customer requirements pertaining to sales and services for PLI
  • Lead trainer and educator of the lining processes from manufacturing to installation, including resin 
  • Testing and creating liner and / or other material samples and proper documentation of results
  • Set-up and perform live above ground demonstration for each of PLI’s lining systems
  • Monitor, evaluate and record training activities or program effectiveness in the support of continuous improvement efforts
  • Proactively assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives
  • Maintain, organize and develop training manuals and / or course materials 
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and / or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos or lectures
  • Keep work site and equipment clean and proactively maintain safety 
  • Professional representation of PLI goods and services during customer exposures 
  • Proactive contribution of ideas, concepts, methods, processes, materials and equipment  with regard to the trenchless industry

Competencies

  • Organized and able to multi-task 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical and piping principles and processes 
  • Associate degree (Technical preferred), High School Diploma/GED minimum
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions 
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time (up to 35 weeks/year)
  • Positive attitude and enthused in meeting / exceeding customer expectations
